Whenever we create a numbering rule, we mock up a dummy data file to connect with our layout, so that it recognizes the records. Do we have to do that? We would like to simply jump in and create sequential numbering alone on some jobs without having to fudge around with creating a mock data source first. Way to do this?? Thanks! Dan Korn Posted May 19, 2011 Share Posted May 19, 2011 From the menu, FusionPro -> Data Definition -> Wizard, click "Specify a Data Source Definition" then "Next", check "None", and click "Next" through the end. You can control the number of records composed either by setting FusionPro.Composition.repeatRecordNumber in OnRecordStart, or by setting the Record Range on the Input tab of the Composition Settings dialog.
