Josh
So I am curious if there is a way to upload dozens of colors instead of creating one at a time. I have a few hundred different color options, CMYK variances, I need to input into FP and would love an easier way. Any and all help is appreciated! Dan Korn
You can specify a color based on RGB or CMYK values in a rule, and apply that color to text, or to frame borders and fills. See this post for more info, or consult the FusionPro Rules Guide.
kjacobson
I use external database files to store color names and their CMYK values. Then I create a function to create the color when I need it. This also works in MarcomCentral so that you don't have to include all the colors as assets. Function to put in Javascript Global or external javascript file function createColor(color) { //Find CMYK values of color name from colors x=colors.FindRecord(0, color); var c1 = Trim(colors.GetFieldValue(x, "C")); var m1 = Trim(colors.GetFieldValue(x, "M")); var y1 = Trim(colors.GetFieldValue(x, "Y")); var k1 = Trim(colors.GetFieldValue(x, "K")); //Create the color new FusionProColor(color, Int(c1), Int(m1), Int(y1), Int(k1)); //return the color return color; } Then you can call the function in any of your rules. Example text color rule: return '<color name="'+createColor("Color Name")+'">';
