scotts
I'm looking for all the hidden settings that can be made to the *.fpi file after it is created in FPImposer. I have found a way to get rid of the gutters between certain pages in a layout, but only by editing the *.fpi file in a text editor and adding 'DiscardGutterR_1=Top' or 'Bottom' where needed. Is there any documentation of all the hidden codes that can be used? We have some layouts that need some extra attention that some hidden codes, might/hopefully provide. Thanks in advance for any help/advice. Scott R Simons Prepress Specialist Holland Litho FusionPro 10.0.3 FPImposer 10.0.
Dan Korn
Those settings are not hidden, and the FPI file is not meant to be edited in a text editor. If you select the Layout tab/screen in FP Imposer, you can right-click on any of the page images shown in the preview pane on the upper right of the dialog, and a pop-up menu will appear allowing you to do things like discard the space between any two rows or columns, and rotate rows, columns, or individual pages (signatures). scotts
Dan, thank you for the kick in the head. I had a brain fart, and forgot about just right-clicking. But I was still hoping for more. But that is ok. Thanks for the quick response. SRS
gdellaiera
Hey I have a quick question on this; Has anyone else lost the bleed on the bottom record of the page? Every time that I discard space in between records, the imposition template keeps all bleeds around the outside except the bottom row and then it grays out the option for "Discard Space and Bleed below row" so I can't add it back. This should probably be a new thread. But what are the versions of FusionPro and your operating system?
