Re: Page Usage Based on Code

I try to avoid using words like "correctly" and "incorrectly", or phrases like "it didn't work," because they're not very specific. What exactly was different in how the previewed pages were...

Re: Web to print showing bleed

MarcomCentral (the application) sets the bleed to zero, in the CFG file, for online previews. WebCRD could, and arguably should, do the same.

Re: Web to print showing bleed

FusionPro output is purposefully set up so that the full Bleed area is set as the Crop Box, so that it's shown in Acrobat. The Trim Box should be set to the final size of the printed and trimmed...

Re: Page Usage Based on Code

What do you mean by "Preview"? If you mean the Preview in Acrobat, then yes, it will still "show" all the pages. You need to compose to see Page Usage working.

Re: Importing Excel file alters the structure of "Date" in the output

Or:
var d = DateFromString(Field("Date"));
return FormatDate(d, "d-m-yyyy");
Or, if you want the day and month to always be two digits (such as "04"):
var d = DateFromString(Field("Date"));...

The settings you're looking for are in the menu in Acrobat, under FusionPro -> Layers.

Re: Array stop and start

Sure, something like this:
var arr = [1,2,3,,5,6,,8,9];

var result = [[]];
for (var i in arr)
{
var el = arr[i];
if (el)
result[result.length-1].push(el);

Re: Table vertical spacing help

You're close. Your function as-is does this, at line 75 of the JavaScript Globals:
var table = new FPTable();
for (var day = 1; day <= 7; day++)

Re: Table date formatting help

You're using some table attributes that aren't supported in FusionPro. I think it's easier to use the table API instead. With that in mind, I came up with this function, which I would put into the...

Re: Change Server temporary path

You mean like with a Registry setting or something? No. It's a CFG setting.

Our expectation is that an application utilizing FusionPro VDP Server will either want to control the temp file path...

Re: On record Start artwork choices

It's hard to say without seeing the job files.

Also, what do you mean by "preview?" Do you mean a local Preview, in Acrobat? Or an online preview in MarcomCentral or some other online app? Or...

Re: Change Server temporary path

Well, I assume you don't want the files on the root of "D:". I would create a base folder for your temp files, something like "D:\FusionProTemp", and then add this line to your CFG file:...

Re: Change Server tempoary path

In FP Server? Sure, just add a "TempFolder" entry in the CFG file, pointing to the folder you want, such as:
TempFolder=D:\your folder name
This can be done with a setting in the Producer API as...

Re: How might I make this multi-line work?

Well, I don't have the version of the data file with the "FullName" field. But you don't really need to add that to use multi-line records. You also don't need the variable injection with...

Re: How might I make this multi-line work?

Yeah, this is a lot to try to parse. A picture might be worth a thousand words here. Could you attach an example of what you want the output to look like? Or better yet, the template you have so...

And this option is reflected in the data how exactly? I need some data field value to trigger off of for a rule, but I don't see it in the data in the template you attached.

Also, will each name...

Re: Having trouble with first external data file

I think all you need to do is change OnRecordStart to this:
var XDF = new ExternalDataFileEx("MasterDeparmentsListFinal.txt" );
var found = XDF.FindRecord("Full Name", Field("Department"));
if...

What library? In what context?

Do you mean in the MarcomCentral application? If so, please post in the MarcomCentral application forum (http://forums.pti.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15).

Okay, thanks. I can see what's going on now.

That error message is legitimate, because the rule "LargeBackgroundRule" is indeed failing to return a graphic resource.

The thing is, every rule...

Re: Table - how to remove extra blank rows

Yes, the idea here is that you don't need to suppress any table rows. Instead, you only put out the table rows as needed.

The rule can be further simplified/reduced to this, without the need for...
