Re: group numbering script?

Assuming you're setting the Start and End record numbers on the Input tab of the Composition Settings, those are the "IDs", and this should get you the "Groups":
var ID =...

In what application are these drop down list and text editing controls going to appear? Is this in MarcomCentral? Or EFI Digital StoreFront? Or some other custom web application utilizing...

Re: Insert default picture ONLY if picture name is not found

Sorry, I didn't realize you were using that as a starting point. That XML rule is a bit of a mess when converted to JavaScript.

I think this will work for you:
if (!Field("JA08"))
return...

Re: Insert default picture ONLY if picture name is not found

if (!Field("Picture"))
return NullResource();

var pic = CreateResource(Field("Picture"), "graphic", true);
if (pic.exists)
return pic;

return Resource("NotFoundResource");
Though,...

Re: Manage Pages Not working

Well, I can't really test anything without the data file, but from the template I can see one problem: You have the wrong name for page 4. It's set as "GBOO4" in the Page Usage dialog, but it should...

Re: Composing one job, outputting to different templates based on value in record

Yes, this is possible, with FusionPro Server. But not with Creator (Desktop).

The older way (with Server) is to used tagged markup data, and specify the format attribute of the record tag, to...

Re: Adding Pages

Well, you could use Overflow pages, and let the composition engine decide for you when additional pages are necessary. Then you wouldn't need any code for this at all.

But with your current...

Re: Padding with a cover page and back cover page

Yeah, setting FusionPro.Composition.CurrentRecordNumber doesn't do anything. You can't change the current record in OnRecordStart. You can skip it, or repeat it, but you can't go to another input...

Re: Feature request

Yes, I still think that, if you use a Masking Text personalization, with an image with a gradient as the mask image, that you can achieve the effect in your "image with the shadow" example.

Re: Using an external file to insert code into a rule

Sure, you can have each template point to the same external data file (XDF) that contains the addresses. If the XDF is in a known location on the network, then each template can access it by a UNC...

Re: Page Usage with existing On Record Start Rule

That line should be:
if (Field("Imprint Line 2") == "")
Or just:
if (!Field("Imprint Line 2"))
Or, rearranging a bit:
if (Field("Imprint Line 2"))
{

Re: Make a table with formatted text that flows below

Well, you're unconditionally adding 9 rows to the table with "myTable.AddRows(9)". You're not actually suppressing any rows at all; you're just inserting empty rows. So yeah, you'll always get 9...

So like a partial transparency for image characters?

Can you post an example of the output you're trying to achieve?

Re: Connecting graphic frames

You don't connect Graphic Frames. This rule creates a series of inline graphics, which go into Text Frames. You need to make this a Text rule, and insert the rule's name as a variable into a Text...

Re: Feature request

You can use an image with a gradient as the mask image in a Masking Text personalization. I think that will let you achieve pretty much the effect you want.

Re: Jpeg Compressed Tif Issue

If you send an email to Support telling them you have large files to send them, they can provide you with an FTP upload link, or work with you to post the files on the cloud.

Re: Jpeg Compressed Tif Issue

Yes, please send the files to Support. It's basically impossible to diagnose a problem like this in the abstract.

That said, I do know that certain graphic formats, such as JPEG, and some flavors...

Re: OnCopyfit Rule: problem

Let me clarify that the FusionPro.Composition.CurrentFlow.GetFrame function is NOT new in FP 11. It was added in FusionPro 10.1. You don’t have it because you're running 10.0. You can upgrade for...

Re: Have to have exact number in a field.

So again, you should ask about this in the MarcomCentral app sub-forum (http://forums.pti.com/forumdisplay.php?f=15), or Service Desk, or ask your CPM/BRM/support person, because I'm not an expert in...

Re: Have to have exact number in a field.

You can certainly use JavaScript to validate that a particular string (such as the value of a data field) meets certain criteria. A "brute force" way would be something like this:
var s =...
