Re: Text Wrap Line Spacing issues

You can try changing the leading mode. From any text frame, edit the text, then in the Text Editor, click Paragraph, then click Global Settings, and in the Paragraph Globals dialog, change the...

Re: Create Dynamic Index with External Data - multi-line

So again, it's hard to figure this out by looking at your job through the narrow keyhole of just a rule or two, without having all of the job files. If you posted the entire job, then you would very...

Re: Inline Image from external file path

I think your code is probably correct. But the files you posted don't include the same XDF file "RETAIL Price Lists - 2018-08-21.txt" that your OnJobStart rule tries to load. You do include a file...

Re: FPImposer hidden settings

This should probably be a new thread. But what are the versions of FusionPro and your operating system?

Re: Changing Case of Text Resource in a Rule

This will probably work:
return ToUpper(Resource("La Praire").content);
Or, if you already have a Switch rule (or another kind of rule) that's returning Formatted Text Resources, you can just call...

Re: Page Number and Count

Make a text rule, check the "Re-evaluate this rule for every text flow" box, and do this:
return "Page " + Math.ceil(FusionPro.Composition.currentPageNumber / 2) +
" of " +...

Re: Create Dynamic Index with External Data - multi-line

We call this a "table of contents" job (or an "index" job).

Yes, you need to use <crossref> tags. These are documented in the FusionPro Tags Reference Guide, and a Google search for "FusionPro...

Re: Crop Marks hidden

Did you uncheck the Fonts box? If not, do that.

Otherwise, try to collect up a minimal sample job which demonstrates the issue in question. Or at least reduce the size of some of the files...

Re: Crop Marks hidden

Yes, you posted the output, but in order for anyone to help, you need to post the template/job files used to create that output. In other words, the PDF you had open in Acrobat before you clicked...

It's hard to know how you got that output without seeing the collected job files.

Re: Incrementing pages out of order

You're doing something way more complicated than necessary. You don't need to implement your own page counter. You don't even need a rule at all. All you need to is going into the text frame where...

Re: Embarrassing 2-page PDF help?

It's hard to make specific suggestions without seeing the template and the data. Can you collect up the template you have so far and post it?

That said, by kind of guessing/imagining how your...

Re: High Sierra and FP 10.0.16

I can announce that we have a Beta build on Mac which fixes the problem with composing on the new Apple File System in High Sierra.

It's FusionPro VDP version 10.0.37. Please contact...

Re: Text Measure Breaks

I would replace the last line with this:
return (tmWidth < frameWidth*7200) ? str : str.replace(/\b(\&|and)\b/, "$1<br>");
I would also make sure you're handling the text as tagged markup to begin...

Re: Checkbox Multi-Select Fields

You need to make it part of a string literal, either in single or double quotes. This rule is valid:
return '™'; // okay
As is this:
return "™"; // okay
This is NOT valid:
return ™; // raises...

Re: Writing to a database table

That sounds like a job for the XML log file, which is a lot simpler. In OnJobStart, call FusionPro.Composition.CreateXMLLogFile(), optionally with a file name (and path), and the file will have the...

Re: Writing to a database table

You can call the SetFieldValue and Save functions on your ExternalDataFileEx (XDF) object. The XDF file has to be in the Search Path, and has to be tab-delimited.

No, not handy, though there is a...

Re: OnJobEnd do a macro and print the result of Macro

No, not with Creator.

But what would that get you other than a duplicate of the first output file? What are you really trying to do?

Re: OnJobEnd do a macro and print the result of Macro

No. At least not with FusionPro VDP Creator, which is just an Acrobat plug-in. That FusionPro plug-in doesn't have the ability to control any other processes.

Typically a use case like this is...

Okay. So... what exactly is the question you're asking now?

Are you still asking how to take the filled-in "groups" of data for a variable number of names/cards, and impose them to fill up your...
