Re: Uploading dozens of colors instead of creating one at a time

You can specify a color based on RGB or CMYK values in a rule, and apply that color to text, or to frame borders and fills. See this post...

Re: Other Scaling Methods

Can you provide some examples? It is possible to measure the width and height of a graphic, and then change how it scales into a frame. But it's hard to make specific suggestions without something...

Re: PPML and FPImposer

We have been working on fixing some of the issue reported in threads like this one (http://forums.pti.com/showthread.php?t=4458). Those fixes will be in a patch release of FusionPro VDP 10.1 which...

Re: Is it possible to switch Imposition Definitions OnRecordStart?

No. You can't currently modify the imposition in a rule, for either FusionPro VDP Server, Producer, or Creator compositions.

In a FusionPro VDP Server workflow, you can change the...

Re: Multiple records on one page

This sounds like a 6-up imposed job to me. Make your PDF template page the size of just one of the badges, then compose with a 6-up imposition. Please refer to the "Using FP Imposer" section in the...

Re: Keep with Next Paragraph

You can always find out what tags are generated for text typed into the Variable Text Editor by creating a Formatted Text Resource, entering or pasting the text there, and then clicking the View...

Re: All records not outputting ?

The Variable control on the Text Editor isn't a simple drop-down; it's a "combo" drop-down and text box. So just type the name in there and click Insert.

Re: All records not outputting ?

No problem. At the risk of breaking things again, I'll suggest an alternate way of doing this that doesn't require global variables, or any other rules to access them. Instead of declaring those in...

Re: All records not outputting ?

So again, without the job files, I kind of have to guess as to the larger context of what's going on. But the pharms array is global, and this code is in OnRecordStart, right? So I think you need...

Re: FusionPro VDP 10.1 Now Available

We expect to add support for InDesign CC 2019 by the end of November. (Which is still 2018, despite Adobe's apparent journey to the future.)

Re: Image not showing in Preview on Mac

Are you sure that you're connected to the remote server?

Also, can you please try referencing one of the graphics with a full path? You can follow these steps:

Connect to the file share (via...

Re: Hide pages on preview but show in composition

It's hard to say without the whole job, and a complete description of the requirements, but I think the entire rule can just be this:
var withUV = !IsPreview() && Field("Stock Option").indexOf("with...

Re: All records not outputting ?

Thanks, posting the code is helpful. It's still hard to completely analyze this by looking through the keyhole of just the JavaScript rule, without having the rest of the job.

That said, I think...

Re: STACK and CUT not overflowing to 2nd page.

Great!

No. All the logic to repeat the necessary number of times to get the right number of output records is in that OnRecordStart rule. You can get rid of OnJobStart.

No, not with FusionPro...

FusionPro.Composition.composeThisRecord = false;

var data = new...

Re: STACK and CUT not overflowing to 2nd page.

Sorry, I was having trouble following your explanation. I didn't know what you meant by "BACK/BODY2" or "cut/stack only." You still want "cut/stack", but duplexed. Like I said, the easiest way to...

Re: Table rotated cell content

First of all, the property is "Rotation", not "Rotate".
myTable.Rows[0].Cells[0].Rotation = 90;
Also, this line is bogus:
myTable.Rows[0].Cells[0].Margins = new FPTableMargins;
Unless you...

Re: STACK and CUT not overflowing to 2nd page.

I don't understand what you're asking.

Can you please elaborate on:

What output are you expecting?
What output are you getting?
Exactly how are they different?

Re: Image not showing in Preview on Mac

To clarify, when you say, "they do show when we compose," do you mean when you compose on your Mac? Or are you composing via Producer or online or some other remote composition?

Also, the...

Not sure why that would be. How are you viewing/rendering the output? Do you have fonts embedded?

What thread would that be?

The XML rule was written based on the idea of having separate...

Re: Ampersand problem

In this case, if the field has no actual markup tags in it, you may want to use the UntaggedDataField function:
UntaggedDataField

var title = UntaggedDataField("Title");
if (CaseSelection ==...

Re: Ampersand Changes

This kind of question is hard to answer in the abstract, without seeing the job files. And I'm not sure exactly what you mean by an "open form field."

The real question is, what kind of data file...
