PRINTABLE ANNOUNCES NEW AFP OUTPUT CAPABILITY

Solana Beach, CA - August 21, 2009 - Printable Technologies® Inc., a leading provider of software as a service (SaaS) web-to-print and marketing personalization solutions, announced today that it is adding the AFP print-output format to its FusionPro® VDP (variable data publishing) server products and MarcomCentral™ web-to-print solution.

With the addition of AFP, Printable™ now offers 10 fully optimized VDP output formats with FusionPro Direct, FusionPro Server, and MarcomCentral, the first SaaS web-to-print solution to offer AFP output. The new format is ideal for producing transactional documents with eye-catching, highly effective, personalized text and imagery, known within the marketplace as TransPromo. These dynamic, and often complex pieces are quickly and easily created using FusionPro Desktop, the leading variable data publishing tool.

"We have seen a growing interest in TransPromo, or personalized Transpromotional output, over the past 18 months," said Douglas Cogan, Vice President of VDP Technology for Printable Technologies. "Printable continually listens to the needs of the market and responds accordingly. The flexibility of our FusionPro VDP product line allows print service providers to implement the variable document workflow that best suits their needs."

For maximum AFP throughput, FusionPro Server solutions implement a sophisticated load-balancing system to meet any document composition speed requirement. Utilizing load-balancing, large composition requests are intelligently distributed among multiple composition instances and then merged to a single AFP print-stream file.
