  1. If you have the Job Direct Add On, change an image upload field to a job direct upload field. This allows you to, among other things, convert uploaded images to grayscale. (Note that you do not have control over the conversion profile.)
  2. Hi Daniel, To the best of my knowledge you can't customize the actual *content* of the email notifications. See this support documentation page. Hope this helps! -Joe
  3. Hi Dan, Let me clarify: Static elements WILL generate in the PDF, ONLY variable/versioned frames tagged as such through the plugin refuse to generate during output. However, your advice (copying the 9.3.12 plugins, reinstalling 9.3.15, and replacing the plugins with the 9.3.12 version) has worked! Because of this I can only assume there's an issue with the 9.3.15 InDesign plugin, and I have notified your support team about the possibility. As always, your knowledge is equally as impressive as it is helpful. I never would have considered that your solution would have even been a possibility. Thanks again! Joe
  4. Hi Dan, Text or graphic frames tagged using the FP plugin do NOT export. Neither the frame nor the content appear in the FP-generated PDF, however all non-FP related elements (as in, static BG elements) disappear in the PDF during export. I uninstalled 9.3.15 and installed 9.3.12. Good news: text and graphic frames now export. Bad news: The font issue that forced me to install 9.3.15 is now back. (I'm assuming 9.3.15 is the first release that included the font fix.) I guess it's true: you can't have your cake and eat it too... This does leave me in a difficult situation though, as I need both issues to be resolved. There are typefaces that I need to use, and I'd greatly prefer to avoid recreating all of my text and graphic frames inside of Acrobat. So, I suppose this gets added to the bug list for this beta? Thanks!
  5. Hello all, I know the FP support team is currently out of the office (Cali-time!), so I figured I'd ask this in hopes that I may get a response before they get in. Per the suggestion of FP's support team, I recently updated my 9.x install to 9.3.15. This update was to solve a font issue (some typefaces, even when selected via a JS rule, would automatically default to the italic version associated with their weight), which it did correct! However, it seems to have caused an second issue. I'm now unable to have frames exported from new InDesign documents, regardless of PDF preset. I can confirm this, as I created multiple (basic) test documents, tried exporting both variable text and graphic frames, and have tried all PDF presets (Adobe-loaded & custom) without any luck. I'm running Creative Suite 5.5, FP 9.3.15 beta, and OS X 10.10.2. I understand this is a beta, and the solution very well may be to reinstall the older (stable) version, however the font issue that this version corrected is something that I really don't want to reoccur. Thanks for any help that you can offer!
  6. Hello PTI staff & forum members, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to hide quantities for all inventory items. The following code: #ctl00_content_CtlCatalogList_CtlCatalogItemRepeater_ctl01_CatalogListItemEven_lblQuantityAvail {display:none;} or #ctl00_content_CtlCatalogList_CtlCatalogItemRepeater_ctl01_CatalogListItemOdd_lblQuantityAvail {display:none;} Allows me to hide the inventoried quantity for the first odd or even item displayed on the page. Unfortunately, Marcom seems to generate a unique ID for each product being displayed. This obviously means that instead of being able to eliminate it at a class-level, I'll have to add an additional line in my CSS for each possible product ID that's generated. (As in, an entry for even product #1, an entry for odd product #1, an entry for even product #72, an entry for odd product #72, etc...) Does anyone know of a way in which I can hide the quantity from displaying on every inventory item? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! Joe S.
  7. I actually got it to work... I ended up deleting the frame that was generated from the InDesign file and created it again, with the same dimensions, inside Acrobat/FusionPro. Not gonna question it!
  8. Hello all, I have an issue regarding vertical alignment of text frame content. Regardless of the actual content of the text frame (plain text, a field, a rule, or a text resource), if what I've entered exceeds 4 lines the vertical align bottom function stops working and reverts to top-alignment. However, if I remove the 5th+ line(s), everything aligns to the bottom as it should. Does anyone have a possible solution? Thanks! *EDIT* Just to confirm, I tried setting the vertical alignment in OnRecordStart, using the verticalAlignment attribute of FindTextFrame. No luck...
  9. Thanks! They sent me the FTP info, I'll try to install it at some point this week.
  10. Hi Dan, in hindsight it would've been rather sensible for me to include this information in my original post... see below: Mac OSX 10.10.1 (Yosemite) Acrobat X Pro (10.0.0) FusinoPro VDP 9.3.6 As always, thanks for your continued support!
  11. Hello all, I'm having an issue similar to the one being experienced in this thread. Currently, I'm experiencing this issue with Helvetica Neue LT STD, however I've encountered it with many large families of fonts (those that are expanded beyond the standard Roman, Italic, Bold, Bold Italic faces, with each weight being split into its "own" typeface). When inside of the variable text editor, I'll select "Helvetica Neue LT STD 55 Roman" for a line of text, however, once I click away it reverts to "Helvetica Neue LT STD 56 Italic". A similar issue happens with all of the other weights, as well. Sometimes, I can "trick" FusionPro by selecting the italic weight which then reverts to and composes with the correct Roman weight, however I'm not that fortunate in this instance. Has anyone devised a solution regarding this issue, except for manually activating/deactivating fonts? Thanks! JS
  12. Hi Dan, Thanks for the info! I'll try working that into my JS in a little bit. Thanks again! Joe
  13. Hi all, Please feel free to move this thread if it's in the wrong category. That aside, I'm wondering if anyone may have an answer that could be of benefit to me. Is there a way to trigger a different layout (like a page pull) for the client-facing proof in the browser on Marcom vs the actual press-ready PDF that gets generated for our production team. To help illustrate, consider an envelope that a client can customize online. There is to be printing on both the face and flap of the the envelope, which is pre-converted. We'll be opening the flap to print in one pass, therefore looking at the press-ready file head on the text on the flap will be upside down. (Unfortunately, this is also the versionable information.) Is there a way to trigger one layout for proofing purposes (so the customer can see the "front" of the envelope, and the "back" with the flap down and text right-reading) and trigger a different layout for production purposes? Thanks for any help you can offer! Joe Stevens ACG
  14. Hi all, I have two separate issues that I'd like to share with you, in hopes that someone reading this will have experienced something similar and can offer some advice. Let me preface this by saying that both issues apply to two separate workstations. Both workstations are Macs, on OS X 10.10.1 (Yosemite). Both are running Fusion Pro Designer 9.3.6. One workstation is running CS 5.5, the other CS6. Typeface Issue: Occasionally we'll encounter a font issue after exporting from InDesign, though we have replicated it when creating a new file inside of Acrobat as well. We'll, for example, have "ITC ExampleFont Pro - Bold" set as a title line, which in InDesign and the exported PDF display correctly. However, in FusionPro, it refuses to set and preview correctly. It'll usually substitute to an italic version of the font face, even after repeatedly choosing the correct weight. However, if we choose a different version of the same font, say "LT ExampleFont - Bold", it'll display correctly. This originally made me think it was an issue with the specific font file, but other programs will read them perfectly fine and there were no errors discovered with them. I know Fusion Pro is known to have issues interpreting PostScript fonts, is there a known issue with OpenType fonts? RGB Color Issue: We are experiencing an issue, after updating FusionPro, that only occurs after exporting a layout from InDesign. Colors, even the default "Black" swatch, are exported into Fusion with RGB values attached, which results in them being exported as an RGB mix. This issue only occurs with colors carried over from InDesign, when we create CMYK colors INSIDE of Fusion Pro, they export correctly. We've checked presets and settings in both InDesign and Acrobat/Fusion, on both machines, and are at a loss as to how we should proceed. Rebuilding the colors inside Fusion Pro isn't the end of the world, but it's definitely more timely than importing them directly from InDesign. Thanks for any help you can offer!
