  1. It's a 27mb file. There won't be any way for me to email that. I tried using FP Imposer and it doesn't look like I have the settings I need. Essentially I have a small booklet that I am bulk mailing. It's 2 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11, front & back, that's folded down to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. It's already laid out in booklet format when sent to Fusion Pro. After inserting all of the bulk mail information in FP Desktop, I used Imposer to create a imposition file that just references how many pages the document has. Create a PPML file with that imposition, dump that PPML file into Command Workstation, then actually impose the document at the fiery, 2-up (Multi-Record Collate) on 11x17 sheet, duplexed top to top. Then when I try to print, I get that error. If I impose it with FP Imposer, I don't want it to repeat records. I need it to understand that there are 4,740 records and it's 4 pages per record. Because all it does is repeat the first record over and over again.
  2. After going through the settings and hitting print, I get the following error. "PPML Processing Error: Parsor error at line 1 col39: invalid "l" at position 2 of a 3-byte sequence" So is this an error in .csv file used in creating the PPML? Or is it something else?
  3. I'm placing a PPML file generated from Fusion Pro Desktop into Command Workstation 5.2, then impose it to be stepped out. After going through the settings and hitting print, I get the following error. "PPML Processing Error: Parsor error at line 1 col39: invalid "l" at position 2 of a 3-byte sequence" I've tried using Acrobat Pro to flatten the file and remove any effects. Resubmitted it, same error. I don't know how a VPS works so I'm not going that route. It needs to be PPML or bust basically. PDF's take too long to impose. So is this an error in .csv file used in creating the PPML? Or is it something else?
  4. I am so confused. I finally get a PDF file imposed and composed correctly, but when I go to print it, there doesn't seem to be a way to separate the document up into booklets. The final composed file is 29,960 pages. It needs to be 14 pages per booklet (7 duplexed sheets). Each booklet needs to come out of the printer folded & stitched. Not sure how FusionPro handles printing to a Xerox Fiery or how its supposed to break up the document to output booklets folded & stitched. When I send over 28 pages (2 booklets in this case) it folds and stitches both books together as one. I've gotta be missing something here.
  5. I have the pages in the correct order now. Now the problem is printing a 29,960 page PDF as 7 sheet booklets, folded & stitched. I can't use slip sheets because of how they need to be finished.
  6. The Advanced settings are all default: Horizontal - Left to Right Vertical - Top to Bottom Stacking - Face Side Up Duplexing - Flip on Long Edge I'll try your settings and see if that helps.
  7. Yes I've created an imposition file and set it to saddle stitch, finished size 8.5 x 11, and press sheet as 11x17. It says the pages don't fit the layout, so I have to change it to 17x11 (Ledger) in order for it to put the 2 pages up properly. The variable data text box is on the first page of each 28 page document. Its imposed 2 single pages up to make 1 side. 2 sides per sheet. It prints the sides of each sheet in reverse....so when the book comes out folded and stitched, the "front" page is actually like the 4th page. Now about the slip sheets....is that a blank virtual page, or an actual physical sheet that separates the booklets? Because I can't use physical sheets...the books need to be physically offset. Because otherwise I'm printing a 30,000 page document and then have to manually separate each book as they come off the machine. Not efficient at all. And I need the books to come out stitched & folded. So can't stitch & fold a 30,000 page document.
  8. I have a 28 page PDF that I need to convert to a booklet. I have a variable data text box on the 1st page. There are 2,140 records, 1 record per booklet. So needless to say when its composed its a HUGE file. Lots of pages. When I impose this file, or at least try to....the page order gets thrown ALL out of whack. Or at least it looks that way to me. The original size is 8.5 x 11, and I needed it made into a 11x17 booklet thats gonna get folded in half and stitched. And have it offset each book so we're aren't digging through a huge stack of paper to separate books. How do I need to set this up? I've gone through all the tutorial vids and its just post card impositions...that doesn't help me much with a booklet. Also I need to know that once I compose a file and view the PDF from that, do I just save that PDF and print from that file? Or do I need to do something else afterwards.
  9. Thanks very much for your help dreimer. It is greatly appreciated. Hopefully I can get this going so the stress levels can drop a little.
  10. Yes that's correct. Perhaps I'm applying the wrong font? When I apply the font in the text edit window in FusionPro, it has a square a bunch of blank spaces and another square. So perhaps that font has been corrupted or is not being displayed correctly?
  11. I'm creating it from within the Presort window.
  12. I went onto the Bell+Howell website and followed the instructions they have for printing a presorted output file from the BCC Mail Manager. There were no options for Alpha characters that I saw, after checking every tab and reading over everything. I also tried what you suggested about applying the font to the field that BCC software generates, and nothing appears in the field when I preview or compose it. I apply the IDAutomation4State font.
  13. Ah alright. Thanks very much. I'll have to look into that on the Bell+Howell side since thats not a pti software. Thanks very much.
  14. Greetings. I am having an issue using the IMBarcode Rule. Currently I'm using Bell+Howell Mail Manager LE to generate the delimited file used by FusionPro to lay out my mailing pieces. My problem is, when I get to the point of inserting the Intelligent Mail Barcode Rule, and I get it to use the ZIP information, a barcode isn't generated. It only displays {Intelligent Mail Barcode Rule} in the space when its previewed. I'm not sure if the Bell+Howell Mail Manager can export the info needed for the IMBarcode, or if its something I need to make FusionPro generate on its own. And I'm not even sure how to do that. Its Day One for me using this software. Any help would be much appreciated.
