  1. Nope, that's it!! Thank you very much dreimer!! I apologize for my inexperience.
  2. This is exactly what I'm attempting to do. I'm using the text rule and have inserted it into the text editor dialog box but it is returning the literal text of the rule. I'm missing one small step I believe here. I've created four new colors named, Spot Red, Spot Green, Spot Blue, and Spot gray. Here's what I've got so far: if (Field("Background").indexOf("BLUE") > -1) return '<span color="Spot Blue">'; if (Field("Background").indexOf("GREEN") > -1) return '<span color="Spot Green">'; if (Field("Background").indexOf("RED") > -1) return '<span color="Spot Red">'; if (Field("Background").indexOf("GRAY") > -1) return '<span color="Spot Gray">'; //else return ""; Its functioning but its returning the literal text in the text box - for example: <span color="Spot Gray"> or <span color="Spot Red"> What am I missing here guys? Thanks in advance.
  3. I'm printing it on a Kodak Nexpress 3000. When I preview the file in FP it appears correct and outputs correctly as a pdf. When I go directly from outputting a pdf to a vdx the top gets clipped. The job previewer on the nexpress shows the top clipped and that is unfortunately how it prints out. Any ideas Dan? Am I missing something? Thanks
  4. VDP Creator Version 8.0.20 Im creating a simple 128 Barcode job, 50,000 records. I'm using the 128 barcode rule using the 128L font. In preview and when I output the first 10 records to proof the job as a PDF the barcode looks correct at about half an inch tall by two inches. When I output those same 10 records as a VDX The top of the barcode is cut short, coming to about a quarter inch by 2 inches. Any clue whats going on here anyone? The barcode still scans accurately both ways but it just doesn't come out looking correct as it was proofed or previewed. Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. Hey folks, I'm trying to figure out how to make quick work of combining some data, already laid out in pdfs, over a static background. No data file. Usually it takes a few hrs in Illustrator but I think I can get it done quickly with Fusion Pro, just not sure how. I was thinking I could just import the data pdfs as images overtop the background but couldn't get them to pull in because there is no data file to call for it. I was using the "insert Picture rule" but couldn't get it to work correctly. Any suggestions are most appreciated. I've attatched a background image and a two page pdf with the data that I want to impose on it. Normally I'm working with six different background and a few hundred different signs for each Whats the best way to do this? Thanks! Simply Snackin'.pdf Ale Nuts_NC_VA_Combo.pdf
  6. Maybe a dumb question but how do I assign a spot color or just a specific build of color to a variable field? Doesn't need to change based off of whats there, very basic just need to assign a specific color to the text so it matches the art. Thanks
  7. Thanks guys! Yea Dan thats how I had tried to go about it before but I wasnt having any luck getting "work" and "mobile" to supress along with the variable. Working now tho. Thx
  8. I know this is simple but I cant get it to work. Basically If field Phone1 has a # in it I need it to return the formatted phone number rule, which I have already set up, and the word "Work" if field Phone1 is empty it needs to return nothing. Also Have a mobile1 field, If mobile1 field has a # I need it to return The formatted number, already setup that rule, plus the text "mobile", if its empty it need to return nothing as well. Can Anyone please help me out. Thanks Jeremy
