  1. Here you go. I can upload the original uncropped version too if needed.MGM66-101-2306-1-Post Crop.pdf
  2. I have an AppleScript I've written that crops a PDF down to the bleed box by making the media box and the crop box the same size as the bleed box. This works fine for most of my purposes except if I need to use the PDF with FusionPro. For some reason, FusionPro won't recognize the trim box after the AppleScript is run on the PDF. It appears to work off the bleed box. As an example, if I draw a text frame at x-5.25 and y-4, FusionPro will give the coordinates as x-5.125 and y-3.875. Other apps such as InDesign correctly recognize the bleed and text boxes. PitStop correctly reports the dimensions and position of all the page boxes. Even FP Imposer correctly reports the document's dimensions and bleed, but it seems FusionPro doesn't recognize the text box after the document is altered. To be clear, the AppleScript is run before FusionPro is ever invoked with the document, i.e. the page boxes are not changed after FusionPro has been introduced into the equation. I've tried changing the AppleScript to make the crop box the same size as the bleed box but leave the media box at its original size and also tried explicitly setting the trim box and bleed boxes in the script but neither of those alterations change the behavior in FusionPro. Is there a way to get FusionPro to recognize the position of the trim box in these edited PDF files? Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.
  3. Thank you Dan. This looks like what I need.
  4. Is it possible to make rule that would switch composition to different text frames depending on certain conditions? I have a letter with a variably sized list in it. If the list in the letter will contain five or less items, it needs to be in a single column. If it contains more than five items, it needs to be in a three column frame. I thought I can draw two frames on top of each other, making one of them 3 columns and give the frames different names. But I don't know how to proceed from there. I need to make a rule to switch to the 3 column frame if the letter will contain more than 5 list items if that's possible.
  5. They have decided they don't want any of their letters wrapping to a second page so this is no longer a problem for the job in question.
  6. We have a job (a letter) that will have a list in it containing up to 55 fields. I created an overflow page for records that will use enough of the 55 fields to need a second page (no records will require 3 pages). They want the 2 page letters to duplex. The problem is that the records that don't overflow to a second page will need a blank page after them so when the job is duplexed, the following record's letter doesn't print on the back of it. There are less than 200 records in the job, so I could manually insert blanks where needed in the output file if we don't impose it, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this in FusionPro when the job is composed? Any help is appreciated.
  7. Excellent! Thank you so much!
  8. I have a US business sized card with a sequential number on each card. I need to impose it on an 11 x 17 sheet but I need 10 cards that will bust cut on each half of the sheet. It would be as if I had 10 cards imposed with no gaps on an 8.5 x 11 sheet and then two of those together for an 11 x 17 sheet. Can this be accomplished? I've attached a little screenshot of how I need it laid out.
  9. We got a new iMac a month ago. We have installed FusionPro on it. When we try to get it to load new fonts it will not read them. It shows the loading fonts message but then FusionPro crashes before it actually starts reading any of the fonts. Can we get some advice on how to get around this problem? The iMac is running FusionPro version 10.1.11 and Mac OS X 10.14.4. Acrobat version is DC 2019.
  10. Problem solved. Had to use Suppress if Containing Empty Variables instead of Suppress if Empty. I have two fields on the same line separated by a tab. So I guess FusionPro was printing the tab even if the field variables were empty. Derp.
  11. I'm trying to do a job that has tabular data with up to 37 fields in one record. I have to use an overflow page for records that can't fit all fields on one page. I'm having a problem with the pages for different records breaking at different spots, eg. one record will fit 29 fields on the first page before breaking to the overflow page and the next one will fit only 24 before breaking to the overflow page. All fields take up one line on the page so every record should fit the same number of fields on the first page before breaking. Additionally, I'm getting extra blank lines on the second page before the fields start printing. Most of the records in the data file should fit on one page, however all records are breaking to two pages. Most of those only have one line on the second page that would easily fit on the first page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
