  1. We were previously using v10. It doesn't make any breaks, the whole data file is treated as one record. I'll post a sample shortly.
  2. Hi, Since upgrading to v13 one of my existing templates no longer works. It's a multi-line financial statement where I use 'matches' with a regular expression to start a new record. All the transaction lines start with dates formatted dd/mm/yyyy, I had been using ^(?!\d{2}).*$ which used to work fine. I can't get any regex to work here now, I've tried just .* or ^.*$ , even trying a literal value that exists in the data doesn't work. The other types seem to be working ok eg 'starts with' and 'contains'. Has anyone else seen this? Thanks.
  3. Hi, We are often supplied with large pre-merged pdfs which we need to pull pages from to reuse in our documents. There may be an image which appears on every page of the supplied PDF but it is optimised so that only one copy is saved in the file so the file size is not too big. When we bring the pages into FusionPro and compose them, the duplicate images haven't been detected and so the final PDF is huge. It is possible to open this file in Acrobat and optimise it but it's a very slow process. Is there a way to change the composition settings so these duplicate images are only saved into the file once? Thanks.
  4. Hi, We often use an ODBC table as a data source. In the db the table will have been created with a sequence number and ordered that way, but when connecting from FusionPro the order is not always followed. I know that when we connect to the table we could write a SQL query and explicitly order by the sequence number. But this is not easy for user not familiar with SQL syntax. It's also then more difficult to check what data you're connected to. Is there any way this could be specified through the GUI or preset as a default in the settings?
  5. I've found part of the answer at the post below. Knowing the total pages is probably enough info. http://forums.pti.com/showthread.php?p=18887#poststop (not sure why but this post wasn't in the results when I searched the forums for 'onpagesinserted')
  6. Hi, I can't find much info on using OnPagesInserted. How do I find the number of times a given overflow page was used in the current record (if at all)? Thanks.
  7. Hi, I have a document with 3 pages, in this order:- A. body page (contains a table with potential to overflow) B. overflow page (contains space for table on 1st page to overflow to) C. another body page To implement matching marks, I need to run a sequence number for each page throughout the document. On each page I have a text frame containing a rule which increments a global variable counter. A lot of my records don't overflow, they work fine. When I have a record which uses the overflow page the sequence numbers on pages B and C are transposed. It alway goes back correct at the start of the next record. It almost seems as if the last page © is being composed before the overflow page (B) but still being output after it. Could this be possible and if so how can I fix it? Thanks.
  8. If you visit the Marcom website today and check the system requirements for Creator 10 it says Acrobat 8 is supported. I checked the system requirements before buying the software so to be told they're not accurate is disappointing to say the least.
  9. Hi, I can draw a text frame and move or resize it directly, but if I try to edit it with the text frame palette it doesn't respond. If i click the text frame then click the palette it updates to show the palette's current attributes. I can then type a value into any of the fields in the palette but it will just go back to its previous state next time I click on it. I'm using Windows 7, Acrobat Pro 8 and Fusion Pro Creator 10. I've used Creator 9 previously and never seen this issue before.
