Formatting Headache Redux

Thanks Dan. I really appreciate the help. That seems to have done the trick with the modifications you suggested. -
Formatting Headache Redux
designerspressinc replied to designerspressinc's topic in FusionPro® VDP Creator
Thank you Dan. I appreciate the help. I am getting an error saying FusionPro.Composition.CurrentFlow.GetFrame isn't a function. Assuming that can be sorted, I have run into additional complications where this approach may not be the best. I need to be able to suppress if empty any of these fields/lines as well as have the label letter be a different color than the field text. For these reasons, I thought maybe simply having a few pages in my PDF allowing for different lengths of the Linkedin URL field would work and having FusionPro evaluate the length of that field to determine which page to use. That way I could just use the regular suppress if empty and formatting. Does that make sense? If so, I am at a loss for how to code for that. I have researched how to reference pages in a PDF in FP but nothing I've tried seems to work. It seems like it should be fairly simple to say if field("Linkedin URL") is less than 24 characters, use page 1 for the front and page 3 for the back. If it's less than 28 characters, use page 2 for the front and page 3 for the back. Hope I'm not either over simplifying or over complicating. Obviously a way to both have the label letter be one color, the field text be another, suppress the line if empty AND adjust the indent for the longest line would be the most complete solution but I fear I would be out of my depth with that. -
I have found a few mentions of this but in the threads/solutions I have seen, I can't figure out how to make it work for my case. I have 4 lines that are left aligned and containing 2 different fonts as well as tabs. They all need to left align but that alignment needs to start with the longest line (always the last line) ending at .25 from the right side. They also suppress if empty. D «Direct Line» C «Cell Phone» E «Email Address» L «Linkedin URL» Help?

Sorry, I don't really have anything yet but can answer some of that... 1. N/A 2. If there is no phone or fax, mobile should move up. I cannot imagine there would ever be a fax but no phone. If there is no fax but phone and mobile they stay on their own lines. 3. Really the challenge is getting the labels to go away. Thanks!

I found this thread that seems to be really close to what I want to do: http://forums.pti.com/showthread.php?t=3075&highlight=inline+graphic+hide+phone The problem is that the way he solved this problem wasn't posted. The attached image shows what I am trying to achieve. I have 4 different variable fields, each with graphic labels and each with the possibility of not being used so I would need the label to go away if it's field isn't used. It doesn't seem complicated though that previous thread has a lot of different ways to approach it. Help?

I'm sure this is a very simple thing but all my searches for how to do it have not lead me to something that works. I want to have my field "Header" always be forced into all caps. Thanks in advance for your help.

It seems like a simple thing so I assume I'm just spacing... I am creating a document that will have 5 possible bullet points, each of which has 4 predefined options and an "other" option. If they choose other, they could then type in new text. So what I'd like to do is create a picklist with the 4 items and then other where if they choose other, text entered in a field below called "If Other" would be substituted. Thoughts on how best to do that? Thanks in advance for any help.

I am also stuck on how to do this. I don't see any follow up so I'll ask... I tried to do what you suggested, creating a rule to use the "other" field when other is selected but it doesn't work. How would you suggest doing this? I am using this item on Digital Storefront. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry... yes, on Digital Storefront. Really what I think I am running into is that I have things set up correctly in Fusion Pro but when I implement that on the DSF, it isn't doing what it's supposed to do. I can get it to display a multi-select list either check box or just multi-select but when I make my selections, my variable text box is empty (in the preview). That same box works fine when I define the HTML for it as a single item drop down list. Thanks!

I have a list of things like below (formatting is important but this is just a representation that the titles will be larger): Muffins Low calorie and tasty. Strawberries Bananas Bunch of 3. Fruit Basket Assorted Fruit. I want my end user to be able to choose any or all of those. I have them all defined as resources but for some reason when I make a Pick List in the Define HTML form and test on the server, the chosen items don't populate. Thanks in advance for your help.

Phone number label problems
designerspressinc replied to designerspressinc's topic in FusionPro® VDP Creator
Thanks again for your help. We're getting there. I tried using your code "as is" and it pretty much worked but I need to get 2 spaces between each number/label when they are used. I looked at the code but could not guess where to add that. V: 455-555-5555 FX: 234-234-2252 M: 343-343-2222 IF I can can figure that out, or you can show me, I can probably figure out the code to do the next thing I need to do (address line for the same card). 9205 SouthPark Center Loop | Suite 400 | Orlando, FL 32819 -
Phone number label problems

First of all, thanks for the help. Sadly that last bit is still sorta over my head but I will attack it on Monday and see what I can make of it. Can I just copy that code and sub my variables? Thanks, Robert
